FAQ

What’s the difference between the trial session and my first package session?

During a trial session we want you to get the real deal! So you’ll experience an actual training session to get a feel for how the program works.

Once you purchase a package, the first session will be an assessment so we have our baseline for where you’re at and can develop a program custom to your individual needs.

We highly recommend pushing sessions out for a later date rather than cancelling or refunding them. However, we do approve written refund requests for reasons (such as injuries).

Absolutely!

Hydration should be a priority wherever you go.

At our Strength and Power Facility in San Jose, the programs are focused on developing strength, power, flexibility, mobility, short area quickness and ultimately improving ability to move from point A to point B. The coach to athlete ratio is at most one to four which allows for individual attention while working with our state-of-the-art equipment.

At Kings Academy, we have 4,000 square yards of turf to operate our F.A.S.T. speed school (Functional Athletic Speed Training) programs. As the name implies, those programs are speed intensive, working on linear speed, long speed, top speed, and multi-directional movement with the goal of improving overall game speed. Kings Academy is also where we conduct our assessments.

Currently the program times for Kings Academy are limited.

Lightning Fast Training Systems (LFS) was founded in 1994 in Philadelphia, PA by Coach Duane Carlisle and is the parent company of Carlisle Performance.

You’ll need to create an account for both yourself and your child and you must book training sessions via your child’s account. This applies for both Strength & Conditioning and Speed Training classes.

Due to state & local guidelines, masks are still required for training training indoors. Masks are NOT required for training outdoors.

Yes. You will need to create a separate user account for each child. Book the class under your child’s email & name. Every class has to be booked into separately.

Generally, the time frame is 42 days to complete a 6 session package and 30 days to complete a 4 session package.

For extenuating circumstances (such as injury, which still needs to be discussed with coach for obvious reasons) yes. Otherwise, no.

The 3 month membership commitments are billed fully the day the program is purchased.

A minimum of 2 days per week will get them great results, though 3 days a week will yield optimum benefit. 1 day a week does yield results, but based on research, athletes will only begin to truly benefit from training with a minimum of 2 days of instruction per week.

Please log into your account and select a Monday or Thursday between 6-7pm to book your Carlisle Athletic Profile test.

What does the assessment identify?

We will identify what your weakest link is to help improve your overall athletic performance and reduce risk of injury. For example, our speed assessment will test change of direction mechanics, running mechanics, acceleration and top-end speed.

The CAP is retested every 4 weeks. It will occur in another booked session, but will not take the entire session. There is also no additional fee.

We test both individuals and teams. We can even add tests if you have a specific testing requirement for your team.

You’ll receive a login and password to view your results within 48 hours. Another cool feature we offer is longitudinal viewing – meaning if you test every six weeks (as we recommend) you’ll be able to see your test results over time so track your progress and compare some before and after results.

We do not provide normative data because our emphasis for all our assessments is for you as an individual. Everything we do is custom-to-you based on your starting points and your strengths and weaknesses.

It is completed in the first session and takes approximately 55 minutes. CAP’s are done on Monday & Thursday nights for F.A.S.T Speed Training School & Strength & Conditioning Classes to help you plan accordingly.

Please do not eat anything 2 hours before your CAP.

Please log into your account with us and select a Monday or Thursday night between 6-7pm to book your athletic test.

Then, you can make your selection from there.

Do you recommend any supplement company?

We’ve partnered with THORNE to bring you our favorite performance blends and supplements! Click here to shop now.

Yes! In fact, we highly recommend pairing a nutrition program with a training program it if you want optimal results in the shortest amount of time.

Most nutrition programs don’t hit both the physiological AND psychological elements of eating – they only meet the needs of the body. Our nutrition program addresses challenges we face with food, body image and emotional reasons we sometimes over-consume.
